On the Campaign Trail again in Cambridge

Another bracing and productive morning delivering In Touch, the Cambridge Conservative Association newsletter, with Nick Hillman and Association Deputy Chairman Eric Barrett-Payton.

We were in Abbey Ward, which is Green Party stronghold with a strong Labour following: County Council elections in 2009 and District Council elections in 2008 both returned Green councillors, with the Green and Labour vote together almost three times the Lib Dem and Conservative vote combined!

Support will be harder to earn in wards like Abbey but the campaign messages are the same everywhere: As a party we are committed to protecting the environment, sustainable growth, improving transport, education and personal freedom. Winning back the green vote will take time, but it is achievable.
